US Envoy Endorses Israel’s Biblical Claims to Land Between Nile, Euphrates
Huckabee made the comments while speaking with US journalist Tucker Carlson, defending Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip and discussing its broader territorial claims.
When asked by Carlson to clarify “what land are you talking about?”—a phrase sometimes interpreted as referring to either a riverbed in the Sinai Peninsula or the Nile—Huckabee repeated, "It would be fine if they took it all," citing Israel’s biblical right to the area.
He clarified, "But I don’t think that’s what we’re talking about here today. … They don’t want to take it over, they’re not asking to take it over."
Huckabee emphasized that Israel’s focus is on the territory of the modern State of Israel, seeking security and peace for its population rather than control over Jordan, Syria, Iraq, or other neighboring nations.
